Cat Sitter Seattle

A Craigslist for College Kids
Barefoot Student is a new website that tries to make the “lean and hungry” years of college a little fuller by hooking up college students with extra cash during the school semester, internships during the summers, and a juicy prime rib job at the end of it all.
The site does this by providing college students with a platform to market their odd job businesses. Each student is given a free web page on which they fill in the details about their own personal background and their service, rates, and availability.
Student services vary from moving labor, landscaping, and graphic design to pet sitting, babysitting, and house sitting. Many students opt to offer an “odd job” service as a catch- all, can-do-all category. Students charge from around ten dollars an hour to up to fifty dollars per hour.
Community members can browse for students for hire by city and category. The format of the site is very similar to craigslist although it has a little more of a “social networking” student oriented design. A major difference from craigslist is that people can leave feedback on a student’s page for others to review. No sign in is required to view student profiles.
Students that choose “steady” employment during their college life can find it on Barefoot Student’s job board. The site offers a fast and easy way for students to find part-time jobs, summer jobs, volunteer opportunities, and short term gigs. A resume posting category is also available.
